The
indicators
The key competencies assessed in the ABC Tech process
are: -
- Planning
- Development Talent
- Delegation
- Encourages Independent Thinking
- Building Teams
- Listening, Communication & Interaction
- Personal Style
- Accountability
- Sharing The Spotlight
Against each of these, we have identified a number of
indicators that describe the attributes that will be
demonstrated by someone who is performing well, in line
with the organisation’s values.
Participants were asked to rate you against each of
these indicators, and you had the opportunity to provide
your own assessment of your performance in these areas.
The
ratings
The ratings are as follows: -
- 5 = Excellent
- 4 = Very Good
- 3 = Generally Good
- 2 = Requires Some Improvement
- 1 = Requires Considerable Improvement
For each category and for each indicator, we have provided
a chart showing the average response from each category
of rater.
Generally speaking,
- An average of 5 is excellent
- An average of 4+ is very good (but you should
still take note of any comments that refer to areas
where you could make changes)
- An average of 3 – 3.50 demonstrates aptitude,
but there is scope for development
- An average below 3.00 indicates aspects that require
urgent improvement
NB average ratings do not take account of your own self
assessment. There is an overall summary at the beginning
of the report that provides a comparison between your
own assessment and the aggregated ratings of other people
– this comparison data is critical to improving one’s
self-knowledge. |
